Considered one of the top comedy/magic acts in the world today, Rory & Cat Johnston have made tens of thousands of cruise passengers laugh throughout the world. They have entertained on Crystal, Silver Seas, Radisson Seven Seas, Royal Caribbean, Renaissance, Royal Viking, Holland-America, Celebrity, Princess, Royal, Admiral and Western Cruise Lines. They were twice included as "Top Variety Entertainment" by the Los Angeles Times Cruise Review. |
Rory won rave reviews as the star of both the Las Vegas production show Cabaret Circus and Bedazzled in Lake Tahoe. A few other venues: The Magic Castle, Magic Island, Tropicana's Comedy Stop, The Maxim, Bally's Catch a Rising Star, The Ice House, The Improv, The Laff Stop, The Comedy and Magic Club, Chippendales Ladies Only Club, Cactus Pete's Hotel and Casino, The Los Angeles Variety Arts Center, Walt Disney World... and much more.
Rory often performs as "Buzz Maxwell" in the hit comedy play, Triple Espresso, appearing in Minneapolis, San Diego, Detroit, Denver, and a number of other cities.
A sought-after director/consultant, Mr. Johnston co-wrote and directed the eight million dollar production The Maverick Illusion Show for Warner Brothers. He has also created/directed corporate shows for Anheuser-Busch, Rocky Point Amusement Park, Marine World USA, Nestle Foods, Gibraltar Savings, Philips Electronics, JVC, Sizzler Restaurants, The Muscular Dystrophy Association, and more.
Rory was Magical Consultant for the Emmy-winning television shows China Beach and Santa Barbara. His comedy magic was televised nationally on both The John Davidson Show and his Chippendales: Ladies Only act was featured on PM Magazine.
Mister Johnston wrote and starred in Playboy Production's short film A Magical Seduction and is a Contributing Editor for MAGIC, an international publication for magicians.
A prolific writer, Rory has penned screenplays, novels, a musical, a number of children's books and plays, and a growing collection of Christian-related dramas. His end-of-the-world sci-fi/adventure novel Apocalypse 666 is available from AmErica House Books. He has had two feature films produced: The Secret Agent Club and Prey of the Jaguar. Rory acts in both films and also wrote the latter's end-title song, The Secret Agent Club Rap.
