Letter from the President
Dear Northern Nevada Association Members,

According to the calendar, spring is here and rapidly moving toward summer. Funny thing, it appears Mother Nature does not use the same calendar! Spring usually means clearing out the mess and getting a fresh start.
In that regard, I recently went through some old association records. There were some flyers on past golf tournaments, meetings and membership lists.

I even found an old survey sent to the membership a number of years ago and found some responses. One of the questions on the survey was was how the Association could benefit the membership. The overwhelming response was continuing education and restarting the lunch meeting program.
I have to say that with our very dedicated board and talented secretary - web master, we have accomplished those goals. You can check our web site and see the quality speakers and topics that have been presented. The Association has also been involved with presenting an IICRC course with the opportunity for certification. The Association has also co sponsored an earthquake seminar with Fair Claims / SIU, which is required in California and accepted by the CA DOI.
So for 2010, here is what the Association has planned:
June 10 - Lunch and learn - We had to move the date due to availability of the location. We will go back to our first Thursday meetings after that time.
June 11 - Seminar for Earthquake Evaluation, CA Fair Claims / SIU certification in South Lake Tahoe, CA. This is co sponsored with the CA Association of Independent Adjusters
July 8 - Membership picnic at Rancho San Rafael from 11:30 to 1:30
August 5 - Lunch and Learn
September 16 - Annual Bowling Tournament
October 20-21 - Two day Xactimate Seminar geared to intermediate level users
We will have our elections for new officers in August, so please think about being involved with this growing and successful organization. Thank you for your participation and being a member of this Association.
