Speaker: Joseph E. Cacioppo, P.E.
Joseph E. Cacioppo, P.E. holds a Bachelor of Science degree and is licensed as a professional civil engineer in California and Nevada. Mr. Cacioppo is a Managing Partner with Professional Document Support, LLC., in Carson City, Nevada and is Vice-President of Resource Concepts, Inc. He is also President of the Nevada Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
Mr. Cacioppo has over ten years experience providing claims investigation services to local and national adjusters and insurance companies. His investigative experience includes Cause and Origin reporting, fire and explosion investigations, traffic accidents, water intrusion, floods, construction issues and more.
As a civil engineer, Mr. Cacioppo is experienced with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the agency’s National Flood Insurance Program, providing engineering and regulatory expertise. He has extensive experience with floodplain management and flood hazard mapping, preparing hydrologic and hydraulic drainage studies and reporting related to Conditional Letters of Map Revisions (CLOMR), Letters of Map Revisions (LOMR), Letters of Map Amendments (LOMA) and determinations of Base Flood Elevations.
Mr. Cacioppo served four years on active duty with the United States Army, and an additional four years in the Army Reserves while attending college. He was born in New York, and is a husband and father of three children. He and his wife moved to Carson City in 1996 from the Bay Area, California in an effort to provide a better quality of life for their children.
